At Advitam IP, one of the most rewarding parts of our work is seeing our clients bring their ideas to life in ways that make a lasting impact.

That is why we are proud to celebrate longtime client Anupy Singla and the launch of her new television series, Indian As Apple Pie, premiering on WTTW Chicago on May 2 and distributed to public television stations nationwide beginning April 27, 2026.

Hosted by Singla, Indian As Apple Pie is an eight-episode cooking series that brings Indian cuisine into everyday American homes through approachable recipes, practical techniques and personal storytelling. The series reflects Anupy’s long-standing mission: to make authentic Indian cooking feel accessible for busy home cooks who want to prepare flavorful meals with confidence.

Across the series, viewers are invited into Singla’s home kitchen in Chicago, where she shares the foundations of Indian cooking, from essential spices and layered flavor to curries, dals, biryani, street foods and more. The show also takes audiences beyond the kitchen, exploring international grocery stores and iconic Indian restaurants to offer a deeper look at the ingredients, traditions and cultural stories behind the cuisine.

Anupy’s journey to this moment has been shaped by passion, perseverance and a clear point of view. Born in Punjab, India and raised in Pennsylvania, she grew up between two cultures, an experience that continues to inform her work. After a successful career in television journalism, she pursued her dream of writing an Indian cookbook. That dream led to her bestselling title The Indian Slow Cooker and grew into a larger platform that now includes additional cookbooks, classes, products and this new national television series.

From the beginning, Richard Gurak, Co-Founding Partner of Advitam IP, has represented Anupy and supported her as she built and expanded her brand and company. It has been a privilege to stand alongside her through the many stages of that journey.

At Advitam IP, we are proud to support innovators, entrepreneurs and creators over the long term, helping them protect the ideas and brands they work so hard to build. Anupy’s success is a powerful example of what can happen when vision, talent and dedication come together.

We congratulate Anupy and the entire Indian As Apple Pie team on this exciting milestone and look forward to seeing the series inspire home cooks across Chicago and throughout the country.
